We are a small group of systematic, algorithmic and quantitative retail traders, who love to share our knowledge with the world. We use Zorro Trader, R and Python on a daily basis for all our trading operations.

Zorro Trader

We strive to provide the best possible Zorro Trader education. We have used Zorro Trader for many years, both in strategy research and live trading. Although Zorro Trader is an excellent software platform, the educational resources available are scarce. There are several Zorro Trader tutorials online, but none of them is either advanced, or complete. We intend to change that, and provide the educational resource we never had, but always wished for.

Systematic Trading

If you are trading manually now, chances are you are using a systematic trading strategy with clearly defined trade entry and exit signals, stop loss and take profit levels, risk management, and so on. Most traders chase the same signals, and trade the same strategies, with the same modest results. We teach several systematic trading strategy development methodologies that can dramatically improve your results. Although manual and discretionary trading is more of an art than science, systematic trading is not. It is entirely possible to design profitable systematic strategies, even for small individual trading accounts. And should you choose to trade your systematic strategies automatically, you can always learn how to implement them in Zorro Trader.

Quantitative Analysis

Most traders have probably started trading by using strategies based on technical indicators. From simple moving averages to the most exotic and colorfully named mathematical transformations, everyone has used at least once some “indicator spaghetti“ for manual trading. However, this is not what the real professionals do. Modern systematic and algorithmic trading is based on quantitative analysis, which uses mathematical, statistical and machine learning tools to find profitable patterns in data. Quantitative analysis is key to most Wall Street trading operations, which are constantly seeking talent in this field. New tools like Zorro Trader, R and Python make this area accessible to the retail traders and individual investors as well.

Finance Literature Reviews

There are a plethora of publications in Finance. Thousands of new articles are published every month, and the academia seems to be finding new profitable ideas all the time. Unfortunately, not all these articles are worth your time, and some of them may be difficult to understand, as they involve a lot of advanced mathematics and statistics. Also, some of the ideas expressed are not quite correct, but the rate of retraction in Financial literature is extremely low. However, every now and then we do find little gems out there. When that happens, we will share them with you in a literature review article or video.

Are your services really free?

Yes, our current courses are free, and will remain so in perpetuity. We are planning to offer paid access to some more advanced courses in the future, but the basic courses will always be free.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No, a credit card is not required to sign up at this time.

Do I need to provide you a lot of my personal information?

All we ask is a username, email and password. If you wish to fill the rest of your profile, feel free to do so, but it is not mandatory.

Will you share my email address and personal information with others?

Absolutely NOT! And we will try to keep email communication to a minimum.

Will I get rich quickly?

Unfortunately, no. But you may get rich slowly, if you put in the time and the effort.

Are you Zorro Trader resellers or afiliates?

No, we are not Zorro Trader resellers or affiliates. We use the Zorro Trader platform because its performance and capabilities.

Should I get a Zorro Trader paid license?

A paid Zorro Trader license is not required for our courses. However, if you are serious about algorithmic trading, you should eventually get a Zorro S license.
